WCC Volunteer Program

WCC offers individuals a great way to give back to the community, learn new skills, and help others at the same time. WCC encourages active community participation, social awareness and volunteerism. Volunteer opportunities include:

Instructors Needed. Teach your favorite hobby or craft to others. Teachers and/or instructors are being recruited for the next session of classes at WCC. Currently seeking an instructor/leader for Mahjong.

Special Opportunity.  COMPANY IS COMING TO WCC!

Please consider helping visiting families in need.  WCC will soon be a volunteer host for adults & children in Family Promise.  Family Promise is a 501(c)(3) charity that partners with the community to provide temporary safe shelters for families experiencing homelessness.  Under the Family Promise model, WCC will provide sleeping space, and with the help of community volunteers, offer a daily meal to the families for an entire week.  We would love to have you join us by volunteering to provide a dinner meal for approximately 18 adults and children on any of the following dates.  A dinner meal typically includes a main course, starch and vegetable/salad.  Drinks, paper goods & utensils will be provided by WCC.

Available dates to volunteer:  Mon., July 8, 2019;  Tues., July 9, 2019;  Thurs., July 11, 2019;  or Sun., July 14, 2019.  Time for a dinner meal is 5:30pm to 7:00pm (includes set-up, serving and clean up)

Please contact Donna Sallas with questions or to volunteer for a family meal at dsallas@waikikicommunitycenter.org or (808) 923-1802
