COVID-19 NEWS & UPDATE

Aloha WCC `Ohana,

The Center has been adapting its programs/services according to the rapidly changing COVID-19 situation.  Our objectives are to balance the need to ensure the health and safety of our seniors, members, families, and staff with the fact that many of our clients depend on us for critical needs.  With this in mind, following is the current status of services:

  • Effective immediately, we are suspending all group activities for the senior program (classes, talks, outings)

  • Our senior case management program remains open, providing support primarily by phone. Many of our seniors need even greater assistance during this challenging time.  Please continue to call and/or refer anyone who needs help.

  • Emergency Food Pantry remains open, Tuesdays, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

  • Our preschool is closed through May 31.

  • Our office and core business functions remain operational with staff working remotely. Please feel free to contact us at (808) 923-1802 or email Jill Okimura with any questions or assistance requests.

This challenging situation highlights the importance of WCC and community. We need one another more than ever since it is by working together that we will emerge from this crisis. Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to welcoming everyone when we are back to full operations.

Mahalo,

Caroline Hayashi

President
