WHAT WE DO
Caring for our keiki, kupuna and community as `ohana.
KEIKI: INVESTMENT IN HUMAN POTENTIAL
Birth to age five is the most rapid period of brain development, setting the foundation for future learning and success. Ensuring quality early learning for all children affects our entire community. Research has shown investing in the early years increases productivity in schools, reduces crime and dependence on social services and improves the quality of our workforce.
KUPUNA SENIOR PROGRAM
We empower seniors to live active, meaningful lives where they both contribute to community and receive support. Our programs and services follow best practices established by research to address the whole person – body, mind, heart. Our services both prevent premature decline and meet critical needs.
We envision a community where all our members thrive. A variety of community mobilization initiatives and one-on-one assistance/group programs allow us to reach some of the more vulnerable, provide growth and service opportunities for those who are active, and impact the community as a whole and beyond.
The Waikiki Community Center has three multi-use rooms for rent. All of these rooms are located on the 2nd floor (walk-up only). Rentals fees for all rooms are reasonable and we do have on-site parking. Please contact Donna Sallas for more information or to book a reservation. Phone 808-923-1802.
