Food Pantry

Waikiki Community Center's emergency food pantry program is committed to addressing food insecurity and supporting those in need. Our program is part of the Hawaii Foodbank agency partnership. WCC has seen hunger and nutrition deficiency among its fixed-income seniors and ALICE families with young children as the cost of living has continued to increase. The Center is currently finalizing plans to build a commercial kitchen to increase our capacity to address not just hunger but nutrition insecurity by providing fresh, healthy food to the community.

Additional Info

Our Emergency Food Pantry distributes more than XX pounds of food to more than ## of individuals and families annually. In addition, WCC has partnered with Kapiolani Community College to enable them to provide food to those in need in their own community. Through this partnership, we have distributed over ## pounds of food annually.

WCC distributes food from the Center on Tuesdays from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. In addition, we take the food to where it is needed by delivering regularly to several senior affordable apartment buildings where many of our clients reside.
