Virtual Community Center

To assist members during the stay-at-home period due to COVID-19, the Waikiki Community Center created this Virtual Community Center to provide informative, educational, fun at-home activities and exercise sessions focused on cognitive and physical learning.

This page contains free virtual experiences that you can access from the comfort and safety of your home. Feel free to write to us to suggest other virtual classes or experiences that you'd like to share with our community.

Liability Release - Online Fitness

Please consult a physician prior to engaging in any exercise program or class.  If you feel lightheaded or dizzy during exercise, STOP immediately.

Get Fit for Life with ROBIN

The lifelong fitness instructor first taught aerobics at 17. Now 60, the woman with a passion for “getting older people moving” and helping them find that fountain of youth which is “at the top of a really, really long flight of stairs, and there’s no elevator” has enhanced her repertoire.

If you want a fun, energetic, encouraging, and supportive fitness instructor - Robin is the perfect match! She has taught classes at Waikiki Community Center and is now has several classes via Zoom.  Check out her website and list of classes.

AARP Hawaii Webinars Help Kupuna Learn Technology

Kupuna can learn to embrace technology rather than fear it at free webinars offered by AARP Hawai`i and Senior Planet (www.seniorplanet.org) through March 17.

Online classes on Fridays from noon to 1 p.m. from Feb. 12 through March 10. Senior Planet, an AARP affiliate, specializes in creating an online community and classes for kupuna and harnessing the power of technology to change the way we age.

The topics cover everything from smart TVs and appliances to Google work tools, cloud computing and virtual payments. You can also check out aarp.org/hi or the AARP Hawai`i Facebook page and click on the Upcoming Events tab to see and register for all the events AARP is offering.
